Granada
Quote of the Day: "En Granada no pasa nada"
I have recently just finished my first week in Granada, and have been taking Spanish classes 4 hours a day 5 days a week (from 830am-1230... quite early). The city is amazing. I walk to same route to school everyday and see new things everyday. The walk is about 2 miles or so. We are the furthest from campus out of any of the people in our group (Save 1), but it is good because we see much more of the city. Tonight we go to Arab baths and get a 15 or 25 minute massage with it, which will be amazing. Also, it seems they have good pastries and i can drink the coffee here, which is a first. Communicating with the Senora is quite difficult but i am sure i will be able to communicate before long if i try.
The city itself is surrounded by mountains... however when your in the city there are so many tall buildings that you can hardly ever see them. The city is old and has a lot of neat places to see. The Alhambra(has been talked about as the 8th wonder of teh world), lots of old churches and monestary's, and old mosque, and a huge cathedral... It is great. And the culture is a lot different here, and it is good that i am learning a new culture and get to see many others in my travels.
Anywho, i wrote this about 2 months ago and never got around to finishing it until now (late march), and i will soon make another post that i have also already made, and i will try to stay on top of my blog from here on out.
